Methods of alignment

The method of alignment determines how stamps will be aligned. There is a difference between the alignment per row of a group and the alignment of a group as a whole. These two methods of alignment are independent of each other and can therefore be used at the same time.

Horizontally per row

This method determines how the rows of a group will be aligned horizontally. The following values are possible:

  • Left justified

The left hand sides of the rows will be aligned to one another

  • Right justified

The right hand sides of the rows will be aligned to one another

  • Centered

The centers of the rows will be aligned to one another

  • Mirrored

The alignment depends on the position of the group on the page or inside the border. If the group is positioned left on the page the rows will be aligned right. If the group is positioned right on the page the rows will be aligned left. If the group is positioned in the center of the page the rows will be centered.

Vertically per row

This method determines how the rows of a group will be aligned vertically. The following values are possible:

  • Top

The tops of the stamps of each row will be aligned to one another

  • Bottom

The bottoms of the stamps of each row will be aligned to one another

  • Centered

The centers of the stamps of each row will be aligned to one another

  • Mirrored

The alignment depends on the position of the group on the page or inside the border. If the group is above the other groups the bottoms of the stamps of each row will be aligned to one another. If the group is below the other groups the tops of the stamps of each row will be aligned to one another. If the group is between the other groups the centers of the stamps of each row will be aligned to one another.

Horizontally per group

This method determines how the group as a whole will be aligned. The following values are possible:

  • Left

The group will be positioned as much as possible to the left of the page or inside the border.

  • Right

The group will be positioned as much as possible to the right of the page or inside the border.

  • Center

The group will be positioned in the center of the page or inside the border or in the empty space around the group.

  • Center of page or border

The group will be positioned as much as possible to the center of the page or inside the border.

Vertically per group

This method determines how the group as a whole will be aligned. The following values are possible:

  • Top

The group will be positioned as much as possible to the top of the page or inside the border.

  • Bottom

The group will be positioned as much as possible to the bottom of the page or inside the border.

  • Centered

The group will be positioned in the center of the page or inside the border or in the empty space around the group.

  • Center of page or border

The group will be positioned as much as possible to the center of the page or inside the border.
